Sean Klimczak has been promoted to senior managing director in the private equity group at Blackstone and head of the firm’s new infrastructure fund. Klimczak, who joined Blackstone in 2005, is based in New York City. He has been involved in executing several Blackstone investments, including Cheniere Energy Partners, Fisterra, PQ Energy, Utility One Source and Meerwind, Transmission Developers. Prior to joining Blackstone, Klimczak was an associate with Madison Dearborn Partners and with the mergers and acquisitions department of Morgan Stanley’s investment banking division.
