The Teachers’ Retirement System of Texas (TRS of Texas) has committed $175 million to EQT Infrastructure (EQTI) VI.
Managed by EQT Fund Management, EQTI VI is seeking to raise €20 billion ($21.56 billion) and will invest with a value-add strategy in infrastructure and infrastructure-like assets in Europe, North America and Asia Pacific with a focus on telecommunications, energy, transport and logistics, environmental infrastructure and social infrastructure.
EQTI VI has a hard cap of €21 billion ($22.64 billion).
The TRS of Texas has made previous commitments to other funds in the EQT Infrastructure Fund series, including a $250 million commitment to EQT Infrastructure Fund V, a $200 million commitment to EQT Infrastructure Fund IV and a $180 million commitment to EQT Infrastructure Fund III.
