Remembering our roots: The current state of i3 and a vision for the future

Traditionally, the Market Perspective section is a space for the i3 managing director or senior editor to comment on topical issues and trends in the infrastructure investment market. This month we wanted to slightly alter the format in order to focus on several changes to the i3 publication and events this year, with more to come in 2018. One of those changes is myself, the new managing director of i3, and I want to use this month’s Market Perspective to discuss the current state of i3 and what we envision moving forward.

Since coming on board as managing director of our infrastructure division on August 1, I’ve been busy speaking with our Editorial Advisory Board seeking their input on ways we can improve our programs to better serve the information needs of institutional investors in infrastructure. Through all my conversations with investors, consultants and investment managers, three topics have been the most recurring:
