No summer break for busy European fundraisers
The largest final close during July was by Madison International Realty, which raised nearly €1.25 billion in equity commitments for its Madison International Real Estate Liquidity Fund VI. It is the firm’s largest fund to date.
Fund VI exceeded its $950 million (€850 million) target. The fund targets ownership stakes in joint venture, private REIT and listed property shares in prime properties and portfolios in primary markets in the United States, the United Kingdom and western Europe. The fund also provides joint venture equity to owners, sponsors and investors who are seeking to monetise existing equity positions, restructure balance sheets or replace existing capital partners.
Madison Fund VI has already deployed approximately $400 million (€360 million) into prime assets.
Patron Capital’s final close follows in second place, raising €949 million for Patron Capital V. The fund exceeded its original target of €750 million. Fund V will continue
