As a reader of Institutional Real Estate Asia Pacific, you’ve likely seen many Notes & Trends editorials, often by Institutional Real Estate, Inc’s executive chairman, CEO and editor-in-chief Geoffrey Dohrmann, who ends his insightful commentary on the real estate industry by cautioning investors to “be careful, be very careful. It’s a wacky world out there.”

In every issue, under his — and now my — words rests IREI’s mission statement, which I’ve been reflecting on even more now on the eve of having served as IREI’s managing director, Asia Pacific, for two years.
