Half of all companies still not ready for flexible working

Despite having experienced almost two years of widespread work-from-home mandates, almost half of organisations in EMEA have still not developed plans to meet staff demands for greater work flexibility.

In a new Perspectives for Enterprises report, JLL says that many companies are unprepared for the structural shift to hybrid working and must do more to create responsible, personalised and experiential workplaces. In the consultant’s view “intensive experimentation” and piloting are needed to achieve hybrid working models that will deliver a unique workplace experience for all employees.

With the global talent shortage showing no sign of slowing, companies slow to integrate flexible working models risk missing out on skilled workers, warns JLL. It has estimated that 88 percent of the workforce now wants to choose their working hours in the future.
