Greystar launches new UK flagship fund series

by Andrea Zander

Greystar Real Estate Partners has launched a new flagship fund series that looks to establish a real estate portfolio in the UK.

Greystar UK Multifamily Fund I (GSUM I) aims to raise £750 million (€845 million) in capital commitments from institutional investors and will look to capitalise on the UK’s undersupply in professionally developed rental housing. According to Bob Faith, Greystar founder and CEO, the UK’s rental sector is “outdated and poorly managed”. Greyster is already one of the largest investors in modular construction in the UK, having invested in projects totaling some £500 million (€563 million) to date.

Profi Fastigheter is marketing its SEK5,000 billion (€283 million) Profi V, value-add. It will target major cities in Sweden including greater Stockholm, Gothenburg and the Malmo region. The fund will buy assets in the office, light industrial, logistics, mixed-use and social infrastructure sectors.
