Fundraising round-up – strong end to good year

Six new vehicles were launched in December 2015.

Swiss Life Asset Managers and Corpus Sireo launched a real estate fund to invest in German real estate. The Swiss Life REF German Core Real Estate Fund is set up under Luxembourg law.

Swiss Life REF German Core Real Estate Fund will invest in German residential, office and retail properties, specifically in Berlin, Cologne, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt, Hamburg, Munich and Stuttgart; it will also invest in individual properties in prime locations with long-term income potential. The fund will have an initial volume of up to around €400 million and aims at a target investment in the medium term of approximately €1 billion.

Another launch was CBRE Global Investment Partners and Cordatus Real Estate, creating a new £150 million (€201 million) UK investment programme targeting smaller assets in retail, office and industrial sectors, which will be operated by Cordatus.
