AMP Capital has earned approval from the South Australian Government to acquire the South Australian Schools Public-Private Partnership project on behalf of some of its funds and clients, including AMP Capital’s Community Infrastructure Fund and Core Infrastructure Fund.

The schools project, which was acquired from Lend Lease and Commonwealth Bank of Australia, has an enterprise value of A$232 million ($225 million), according to Paul Foster, AMP Capital’s head of infrastructure, Australia and New Zealand.

The project comprises six newly constructed schools in Adelaide, including primary, middle, secondary, special education schools and child care centers. AMP Capital also will be the asset manager of the project.
