A new name: A new cover and the same high-quality coverage
Twenty-seven years ago, when I was launching Institutional Real Estate, Inc, my business plan called for the development of a new magazine designed to meet the information needs of institutional real estate investors and the people and companies that serve them. It was to be called, simply enough, Institutional Real Estate.
As John Lennon wrote, “Life is what happens to you while you’re busy making other plans.” Lack of sufficient capital coupled with the dawning of a significant global real estate market meltdown in 1989–1990 forced my hand and drove me to develop a newsletter instead of a magazine, aptly titled The Institutional Real Estate Letter.
