WHI Real Estate Partners V raises $385m in final closing

WHI Real Estate Partners (WHIREP) has completed the final closing of its WHI Real Estate Partners V fund (WHIREP V) with $385 million in capital commitments.

The fund surpassed its $325 million fundraising target, garnering capital commitments from a diverse group of investors, including university endowments, foundations, healthcare systems, wealth-management firms and family offices.

WHIREP expects to invest the fund in a broad range of industrial, residential, hotel, office and other properties throughout the United States, continuing the opportunistic investment program of WHIREP's predecessor funds.

WHIREP V is expected to acquire between $1 billion and $1.1 billion of real estate assets.
