Wheeler Real Estate Investment Trust appoints CEO and president

Wheeler Real Estate Investment Trust has appointed M. Andrew Franklin as CEO and president.

Franklin was previously interim CEO, a position he held since July 2021. Prior to his role as interim CEO, he was the company's COO since February 2018, senior vice president of operations since January 2017, and senior vice president of asset management since October 2015. Franklin joined Wheeler in June 2014 as an asset manager.

Headquartered in Virginia Beach, Va., Wheeler Real Estate Investment Trust (WHLR) is focused on acquiring, developing, leasing, owning and managing income-producing assets such as neighborhood centers, grocery-anchored centers, community centers and free-standing retail properties.
