Westport Capital Partners has raised $94.1 million for its WCP Special Core Plus Fund II, according to a Form D filed with the SEC on Nov. 21.
The real estate fund pursues a broad range of coreplus real estate investments. It was backed by eight investors.
An equity fundraising target was not disclosed.
WCP Special Core Plus Fund II focuses on properties with good current cash flow and will avoid assets where the investment team believes it would be unable to achieve its target return without employing high amounts of leverage and incurring excessive risk, according to Westport Capital.
The fund will continue the team’s strategy of proactively managing and repositioning assets, investing capital to make physical improvements, and aggressively executing leasing and operational plans to increase revenues and minimize expenses.
