Westbrook Partners buys historic office building in Berlin-Mitte

Westbrook Partners has purchased a five-story, listed office building in Berlin-Mitte from a subsidiary of Bayer AG. The parties agreed not to disclose the purchase price.

Built between 1910 and 1912, the historic property at Gerichtstrasse 27 was one of the first reinforced concrete buildings in Berlin. Originally constructed in the neoclassical style as a factory for the Berliner Wäschefabrik, to plans by the architect Martin Punitzer, it was later converted to an office building. It provides a lettable area of around 13,300 square meters (143,160 square feet), which is fully let to tenants including Bayer and the IB Medizinische Akademie Berlin.

The property, which occupies a site of around 6,600 square meters (143,160 square feet), boasts more than 100 parking spaces and has excellent transport links to numerous key locations in Berlin.
