Institutional Real Estate, Inc., hosted its fourth webinar on the NFI-ODCE Index on Sept. 15.
With more than 400 participants, Geoffrey Dohrmann, executive chairman and CEO of Institutional Real Estate, Inc., and Garrett Zdolshek, portfolio manager of Investors Diversified Realty, discuss current events of the index.
“Each quarter we try to think of a theme that describes the quarter. … [It was] a strong second quarter. Almost a 4 percent return,” said Zdolshek, while introducing the data.
The index consists of data from January 1 to June 30. Properties within the index have grown +91; occupancy is up 1 percent; funds totaled 27 with one addition in the quarter; and with the value increases, the leverage was down slightly, .6 percent.
Zdolshek stated the more important differences within the index are the property changes, specifically within the office market. Office was down 2.8 percent, or 30.2 percent; apartment, up .6 percent, or 27.1 percent;
