Walker & Dunlop Investment Partners adds managing director and head of capital raising

Walker & Dunlop Investment Partners (WDIP) has hired Brad Barsily as managing director and head of WDIP Capital Raising.

Barsily was most recently an executive managing director for CBRE Capital Advisors and led the group’s institutional equity business and its capital-raising activities for the past seven years. Barsily has raised more than $5 billion of equity on behalf of his clients throughout his career and brings more than 25 years of institutional capital-raising experience and senior-level LP relationships to the platform.

Before joining CBRE, Barsily served as director of institutional marketing and investor services at Rubenstein Partners, a value-add office-focused manager based in Philadelphia, where he headed capital raising. In addition, Barsily previously held senior in-house capital raising positions at a pair of Los Angeles–based real estate managers, including senior vice president at CIM Group, a manager of opportunistic, core and infrastruct
