Vistra Corp., a retail electricity and power-generation company that provides essential resources to U.S. customers, businesses and communities, has plans to acquire seven modern natural gas–generation facilities totaling approximately 2,600 megawatts of capacity from Lotus Infrastructure Partners.
The acquisition includes five combined-cycle gas turbine facilities and two combustion turbine facilities located across the PJM Interconnection, New England, New York and California, expanding Vistra's natural gas fleet.
Vistra will acquire these assets for $1.9 billion, subject to certain net working capital adjustments. Vistra expects to fund the transaction with the assumption of an existing term loan from Lotus and cash on hand.
