VINCI Concessions has won a 30-year public-private partnership (P3) contract pertaining to the new federal road, B247, which will connect two cities in Germany.
The contract covers the design, financing, construction, maintenance and operation of a new 22 kilometer-long (13.6-mile) federal road. In addition, the design and build includes 6 kilometers (3.7 miles) of crossing sections. Construction works will last about four years and will be carried out by VINCI Construction entities in Germany.
The P3 represents a total investment of €500 million ($588 million), including about €350 million ($411 million) for the construction phase. The financial closing of the project is expected to occur in September.
