VICI Properties has agreed to provide a mezzanine loan for up to $127 million to Great Wolf Resorts related to the development of Great Wolf Lodge Gulf Coast Texas, a more than $200 million family resort project in Webster, Texas.
The indoor water park resort has begun construction and is expected to start welcoming guests in mid- to late-2024. The resort will include 532 hotel rooms, a 95,000-square-foot water park, a 58,000-square-foot family entertainment center and multiple food-and-beverage outlets on 27 acres.
“Tourism is one of Webster’s top economic drivers, and Great Wolf Lodge is a force multiplier that will attract visitors from a superregional and global market,” said Donna Rogers, mayor of the City of Webster.
