Danish wind turbine manufacturer Vestas Wind Systems is set to collect €136 million ($150 million) for the sale of 80 percent of its shares in the subsidiaries owning the Romanian wind power plants Pantelimon, Pegasus and Apollo.
Vestas did not disclose a buyer when it announced the pending sale on Aug. 28.
Closing of the transaction is expected to take place within eight to 10 weeks and is subject to certain closing conditions, including approval by the Romanian Competition Council.
The company has designed, manufactured and installed 105 gigawatts of wind turbines in 80 countries globally. According to Vestas, it also has 86 gigawatts of wind turbines under service.
