Värde Partners has launched a third fund focusing on the U.S. mortgage market, according to an SEC Form D filed on Nov. 15.
Värde’s real estate segment focuses on opportunistic and value-add investments in residential and commercial real estate assets, operating companies and real estate secured debt, according to the firm’s website.
An equity fundraising target was not disclosed.
The fund’s predecessor, Värde Mortgage Fund II, also focused on commercial and residential mortgage opportunities in the United States. It sought investments in newly originated loans, secondary loan trading and other structured securities backed by mortgage assets, according to a statement by the firm. It held a final close in April 2018 with $750 million in capital commitments.
