Universal green lease clauses in place by the end of the decade

Green lease clauses will be universally implemented in the real estate industry before the end of this decade, according to a new report published by Savills Investment Management.

So-called green clauses are drawn up to ensure that building owners and occupiers adhere to specific environmental standards during occupation. This includes sharing emissions data when attempting to meet carbon reduction targets.
