Aboria Capital, the new living-focused real estate investment management business, has appointed Eric Byrne, former head of UBS Asset Management’s real estate and private markets multi-manager business, as a senior adviser to support the firm’s growth.
Eric co-founded UBS Asset Management’s $50 billion real estate multi-manager business in 2007 and led the business from 2013–2024. He held the post of CEO of UBS’s U.K. Asset Management business for five years, while retaining his global multi-manager responsibilities.
In his new advisory role, Byrne will provide the Aboria leadership team with strategic counsel aimed at accelerating the firm’s growth. Byrne will advise on how to position the seed portfolio in the market, support corporate/vehicle governance best practice and advise on European growth opportunities beyond the business’s existing standing portfolio and 5,000-bed pipeline.
