UBS Asset Management has acquired sewikom, a fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) operator in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. Financial terms were not disclosed.
UBS Asset Management, which is acquiring sewikom through its portfolio company, Northern Fibre Holding, plans to invest further capital in sewikom to help it continue the expansion of its fiber network and reach some 250,000 homes across the German districts of Hoxter and Lippe.
This investment is part of a growing global portfolio of digital infrastructure assets managed by UBS Asset Management and is a continuation of the firm’s strategy of investing in German rural FTTH operators.
