U.S. equity REITs saw a surge in capital market activity in November, raising a total of $6.06 billion. This marks a significant increase from the $1.58 billion raised in October.
However, on a year-over-year basis, the capital raised declined by 11.4 percent compared to $6.84 billion in November 2023, according to data from S&P Global Market Intelligence.
Debt offerings accounted for the majority of the November total, contributing $5.00 billion. Common equity offerings raised $1.05 billion, while an additional $5.9 million came from a preferred equity offering.
