Recently, more U.S. pension funds have announced plans to invest in global real estate fund Blackstone Real Estate Partners X, according to the IREI.Q database.

Investors include the $21.6 billion Arkansas Teacher Retirement System and the $25.4 billion Louisiana Teachers’ Retirement System; both made a $75 million commitment. In addition, the $14.2 billion Cook County (Chicago) Annuity & Benefit Fund made a $30 million commitment, and the $775 million Tampa (Fla.) General Employees’ Retirement Fund made a $10 million commitment.

Blackstone Real Estate Partners X launched in May to invest in diversified property types globally.
