U.S. multifamily properties have emerged as one of the most favored asset classes by domestic investors during the current real estate cycle, reported CBRE.
However, U.S. multifamily assets have been slower to attract offshore capital. This has begun to change as offshore investors become more familiar and comfortable with multifamily investment. In the first half 2019, inbound capital to the U.S. multifamily sector reached almost $6 billion, up 6 percent from the year earlier period.
