IFM Investors, a global asset manager, founded and owned by pension funds, has finalized a landmark partnership with Nest, making the U.K. pension fund the first overseas owner in IFM’s history.
The deal, which gives Nest a 10 percent stake in IFM’s holding company, alongside 15 Australian super funds, supports IFM’s global expansion into new investment opportunities and markets, while also bringing U.K. expertise into its ownership group.
The transaction also facilitates Nest's investment in global private markets across multiple asset classes. Nest is aiming to invest £5 billion ($6.8 billion) through IFM by 2030.
