Tyrus Capital is seeking to raise up to €400 million ($474 millon) for its latest fund, Tyrus Capital European Real Estate Finance III.
IREI understands that the new opportunistic fund will provide whole loans and mezzanine finance in European property markets, targeting mid-market opportunities.
The firm’s real estate strategies provide financing solutions to the European real estate sector, having executed more than €1 billion ($1.2 billion) of deals across more than 35 transactions, according to Tyrus Capital’s website. These range from senior debt to mezzanine and preferred structured equity.
The firm employs a solutions-oriented and relationship-driven approach to the middle market, underwriting transactions from €15 million ($17.7 million) in size.
