by Andrea Zander

Renewable energy represented two-thirds of the added power throughout 2018, according to International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA).

Asia installed 11 percent more renewable energy compared to previous years, while Africa rose about 8.5 percent. Oceania took the lead, with a 17.7 percent increase in the rate at which renewable energy capacity is being installed. Europe trailed with a 4.6 percent increase.
