True Green Capital is seeking $500 million in capital commitments for its new True Green Capital Fund IV, according to an SEC filing.
The limited partnership fund will invest in education, energy, renewables and utilities throughout the United States.
The Connecticut asset manager closed the fund’s predecessor, True Green Capital Fund III, at its hard cap of $350 million in August 2017. The fund was oversubscribed. Its investor base consisted of endowments, foundations, investment advisers’ clients, fund-of-funds, family offices and insurance companies, according to the firm.
True Green Capital specializes in distributed power generation, with a current focus on commercial photovoltaic solar.
