The $20 billion Teachers’ Retirement System of Louisiana (TRSL) has committed $50 million to Global Infrastructure Partners IV fund, managed by Global Infrastructure Partners.
The core-plus infrastructure fund invests in the energy, transportation, ports and wastewater sectors in Europe, the United States and around the world.
Launched in April 2018, Global Infrastructure Partners IV has received a number of commitments this year. Other recent investments include $200 million from the Connecticut Retirement Plans and Trust Funds, $225 million from the Florida State Board of Administration, $150 million from the Texas Municipal Retirement System and $5 million from the City of Quincy (Mass.) Contributory Retirement System.
The global infrastructure fund has raised approximately $13.5 billion to date, against an equity fundraising target of $20 billion.
