The $153 billion Teacher Retirement System of Texas (TRS) has invested $500 million in two limited partnership infrastructure funds.
The pension fund committed $300 million to Brookfield Infrastructure Fund IV, managed by Brookfield Asset Management, and $200 million to DC Front Range Holdings I, managed by
DCP Fund I Adviser/Digital Colony Management.
Launched in November 2018, Brookfield Infrastructure Fund IV invests in energy, renewables and transportation across the globe. The fund expects to hold a $14 billion first close this month, which will be its largest infrastructure fund raised to date. The previous fund in the series, Brookfield Infrastructure Fund III, held a $14 billion final close in 2016.
DCP is a financial advisory firm that focuses on mergers and acquisitions transaction execution, acquisition candidate pipeline development, and corporate finance strategy, according to its website. The firm has completed more than $300 billion in transactions.
