The $139.7 billion Teacher Retirement System of Texas has committed $261 million to energy, natural resources and infrastructure.
TRS invested €95 million ($112 million) to Co-Invest Platform (No. 1) SCSp, managed by EQT Fund Management S.à r.l.
And the pension fund invested $150 million in Avenue Energy Opportunities Fund II, managed by Avenue Capital Group. The sponsor is reportedly targeting $1 billion for investments in North American energy and utility businesses.
