Trez Capital launches private real estate fund in Canada

Trez Capital has introduced a new private real estate fund for the Canadian market.

The Trez Capital Private Real Estate Fund (TPREF) is a long-term hold fund that will provide qualified Canadian investors access to joint-venture real estate investments with major developers across Canada and the United States. This marks the first time the Canadian investing public is able to participate in Trez Capital's equity investment platform, according to the firm.

Launched on Aug. 31, the fund has already secured initial capital of more than C$20 million ($15.7 million). An equity fundraising target was not disclosed.

Historically, Trez’s managed equity investment platform has been offered on an exclusive basis to institutions and accredited investors.
