Cleveland-based The Townsend Group has raised additional capital for its third opportunistic Real Estate Alpha Fund, according to an SEC Form D filing.
Launched in 2018, the global value-add fund has raised approximately $435 million from 128 investors to date.
The Alpha Fund series is a global private real estate strategy investing primarily in direct co-investments,secondary fund interests and REOCs. It provides investors with a diversified portfolio, based on property sector and geographic location.
Its predecessor followed the same investment style and held a final close in February 2016 with approximately $495 million in capital commitments.
