Texas TRS commits $100m to F65 Opportunity Longhorn Fund

The $176.9 billion Teacher Retirement System (TRS) of Texas has disclosed a $100 million commitment to an opportunistic real estate fund in its recent transaction report.

The pension fund invested in the F65 Opportunity Longhorn Fund, managed by Westbrook Partners.

Westbrook Partners is a privately-owned, fully integrated real estate investment management company that has experience in the operation and management of office, multifamily residential, hotel, retail, industrial and single-family residential development properties.

According to the firm’s website, Westbrook has raised and invested more than $14 billion of equity in over $50 billion of real estate transactions in major markets throughout the world.

The firm’s investment investor base includes institutional investors, such as public and private pension funds, endowments, foundations, and financial institutions.
