Texas TRS commits $100m to Blackstone infrastructure fund

The Teacher Retirement System of Texas has committed $100 million to Blackstone Infrastructure Partners (Supplemental Account T), according to investment notes provided by Rob Maxwell, investment communications specialist. No specifics on the fund were disclosed.

Texas TRS said the fund is a limited partnership managed by Blackstone Infrastructure Advisors.

Past allocation to infrastructure for Texas TRS includes $200 million to both EQT Infrastructure Fund IV and Stonepeak Infrastructure Fund III and $250 million to Carlyle Global Infrastructure Opportunity Fund.

Texas TRS has a target allocation to infrastructure of 3 percent.
