The $148.1 billion Texas Teacher Retirement System has plans to raise its energy/natural resources/infrastructure portfolio (ENRI) allocation to $2 billion in 2020, up from $1.7 billion in 2019, according to documents disclosed at its July board of trustees meeting.
About 35 percent of the 2020 allocation will go to co-investment vehicles.
In 2019, about $1.1 billion was invested in energy, natural resources and infrastructure funds and $500 million went to co-investments.
The pension fund’s ENRI portfolio totals $8.8 billion.
