The $128 billion Teacher Retirement System of Texas has committed $100 million to AEW Value Investors Asia II, according to a recent transaction report.
The value-added fund is seeking to raise $750 million and invests in the major Asian gateway cities of Hong Kong, Seoul, Shanghai, and Taipei, Taiwan.
The pension fund has a 14 percent target allocation to real estate.
