Texas ERS invests $17m in proptech and private real estate in November

The Employees Retirement System (ERS) of Texas committed $17 million to private real estate during November, according to a new fund commitment report.

Texas ERS committed $10 million to the Camber Creek Fund III, managed by Camber Creek, a venture capital firm that targets technology companies focused on the real estate market. Camber Creek’s investors own operate and manage more than 150 million square feet of real estate in the United States, according to the firm’s website.

In addition, Texas ERS also committed $7 million to an undisclosed private real estate co-investment vehicle during November.

The pension fund previously committed $50 million in total to two newly launched private real estate funds in October. Prior to that, Texas ERS committed $75 million to a fund managed by Rockpoint Group in September and $75 million to the Campus Real Estate Partners II fund i
