The Employees Retirement System (ERS) of Texas has committed $75 million to Rockpoint Real Estate Fund VI, managed by Rockpoint Group.
It was the pension fund’s only fund commitment during the month of September, according to Texas ERS. In August, the fund committed $75 million to the Campus Real Estate Partners II fund, managed by Campus Apartments, which invests in a variety of student housing property types.
Rockpoint’s sixth opportunistic real estate fund is seeking to raise $3.25 billion in capital commitments. As of April, Rockpoint Real Estate Fund VI had raised $155 million from five investors, according to an SEC Form D.
