Texas ERS commits $57m to two funds

The $26.5 billion Employees Retirement System of Texas committed $56.7 million to two funds, according to a December transaction report from the pension fund.

Texas ERS committed $40 million to Stonepeak Communication Holdings, a North American infrastructure fund managed by Stonepeak Infrastructure Partners. The fund had raised $192.9 million as of October 2015, according to a filing with the SEC.

The pension fund additionally committed $16.7 million to Madison NYC Core Retail Partners, managed by Madison International Realty. The fund invests in retail and entertainment properties in the greater New York City area.

As of October 2015, Texas ERS had a 1.05 percent allocation to infrastructure and a 9.73 percent allocation to real estate.
