The $28.5 billion Employees Retirement System of Texas has committed a total of $100 million to two private infrastructure funds, according to Aris Oglesby, operational due diligence analyst for the pension fund.
Texas ERS committed $50 million to Actis Long Life Infrastructure Fund, managed by Actis, and another $50 million to an undisclosed fund. The undisclosed fund is a co-investment fund, according to Texas ERS.
Actis Long Life Infrastructure Fund targets investments in the energy sector.
As of April 2018, infrastructure makes up 2.04 percent of the pension fund’s total portfolio.
