Tennessee Consolidated Retirement System commits $65m to Asana Partners fund

The $49.5 billion Tennessee Consolidated Retirement System has committed $65 million to Asana Partners Fund II, according to Shelli King, communications director for the retirement system.

Asana Partners Fund II is managed by Asana Partners, a real estate investment company based in Charlotte, N.C. It is a value-added real estate fund. Through its funds, the firm invests in distinctive retail properties in dynamic urban markets in the United States. According to a filing with the SEC, the firm seeks to raise $800 million for the fund. Previously, the fund received a $75 million commitment from the $23.7 billion New Mexico State Investment Council.
