The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (LaDOTD) has launched tenders for a $600 million public-private partnership (P3) bridge project in Lake Charles, La., according to InfraPPP.
LaDOTD is seeking a developer to design, build, finance, operate and maintain the I-10 Calcasieu River Bridge project, which will extend from the I-10/I-210 west interchange to the Ryan Street exit ramp on the east side of the bridge.
This bidding process for the bridge project was approved earlier this month. Construction will cost between $600 and $800 million, of which LaDOTD has committed $85 million.
The deadline to submit notices of interest is March 02, 2021, and the contract is scheduled to be awarded in early 2023.
