Telia Company and Capman Infra, the infrastructure arm of Nordic private asset management firm CapMan, have teamed up as part of an initiative to accelerate fiber roll-out in Finland.
Telia Company will hold a 40 percent stake in the new company, which will take over Telia Finland’s existing single dwelling unit fiber roll-out business Avoin Kuitu, which has 20,000 homes passed.
Together the companies plan to accelerate the pace of investments in passive fiber across Finland. Telia company will provide the fiber access network with communications operator services.
The transaction is expected to be completed during the first quarter of 2020 and is subject to approval from relevant authorities.
