The $20 billion Teachers’ Retirement System of Louisiana (TRSL) has committed $50 million to the Campus Real Estate Partners II fund, a joint venture vehicle managed by Clarion Partners and Campus Apartments.

The Campus fund invests in student housing assets across the United States.

TRSL has also committed capital to several other real estate funds this year, including Blackstone Real Estate Partners Europe VI, Torchlight Debt Opportunity Fund VI, Rockpoint Real Estate Fund VI, and the TRSL Separate Account.

As of April 30, the firm had an 8 percent actual allocation to real estate.
