The $52.2 billion Teachers’ Retirement System of Illinois (TRS) has committed $300 million to the Oak Street Real Estate Capital of Chicago's net lease property fund, the pension fund reported on Aug. 2.
The commitments were made within the pension fund’s $7.3 billion real estate portfolio, and they were part of $1.15 billion in strategic allocations to various investment opportunities the fund reported on behalf of Illinois educators.
Oak Street currently administers $44.1 million in TRS assets, according to the pension fund.
