TC Energy and Natural Law Energy sign definitive agreements for Keystone XL pipeline

TC Energy Corp. and Natural Law Energy (NLE) have signed a definitive agreement allowing NLE to invest up to $1 billion in the Keystone XL pipeline project that spans from Canada to Nebraska.

The agreement follows on the heels of a memorandum of understanding that the companies signed in October, allowing NLE to pursue an equity interest in the Keystone XL project and other potential related midstream and power projects. At that time, the elected leaders of five First Nations in Alberta and Saskatchewan were said to be in support of the pipeline project.
